Volunteer

We welcome the gift of your time and talents through our volunteer programs. Consider becoming part of this very caring group of people who partner with us and support the core values of Portico.

We offer a Volunteer Orientation at 7am or 7pm every other month.  This is the first step you'll take to learn about volunteering with Portico.  After the orientation you'll have a better idea if Portico is the place for you!

Please take a moment to look over the descriptions of volunteer opportunities below and contact us to sign up for the next Volunteer Orientation:

Next Volunteer Orientation:  Tuesday, July 11th at 7am  or  7pm

(Orientation lasts 1.5 hours or a little less.)

Client Advocates

Our client advocates help and listen to the stories of the clients who come in to Portico. They speak the truth in love and are humble, genuine, empathetic, and show unconditional love without judgment. They work with clients who come in for a pregnancy test and those who participate in our Earn While You Learn program. The client advocates normally volunteer once a week for a 4 hour shift. We would love to have you be a part of our story at Portico…

For more information on becoming a client advocate email Laura Brown or by phone 615-893-0228 ext 12.

Medical Professionals

Health care professionals we need you! There are many areas of Portico in which you can become involved. We have training programs for all the service areas we provide. You will have the opportunity to serve our clients based upon your professional license and skill set. Come and see us so we can work with you to find the right “fit”!

For more information, contact Candi Harrelson, RN.

Asitia Classroom Educators

Asitia is in need of volunteer educators who want to help students write a healthy, happy life story. We need volunteers who have day-time availability to go into the classrooms during the school day to teach our abstinence program in Rutherford County middle schools and high schools. We have volunteers from all walks of life—stay at home moms, youth pastors, business owners, etc.

If you are interested in volunteering, contact by email Susan Louthan.
